Guitar Hero - Denver Family and Lifestyle Photography

I learned a very important lesson this week.. never stop doing what you love just for the fun of it.  I realized that I had not taken photos just for me.. just for fun.. just to be artistic.. just to be creative, since I can't remember when.  So this week I decided I need a new lens, and not just for a specific job  but because I wanted it for myself.  I decided I would start shooting for fun again, and how much fun I have been having!  I realized again why I fell in love with photography in the first place, and it wasn't to try to fulfill someone else's vision of art, but my own!  And some of the things I've been working on are my favorite I think to date.  I'm so happy to share these photos with you of my muses, my girls, and why I started shooting in the first place.  I wanted to play with light and lenses and angles, and I am so very happy with what I came out with.  My girls started playing guitar about a year ago and are loving it.

Had such a fun time with this family last week, and super happy that there are at least some leaves left on the trees, and you just couldn't have asked for a more beautiful fall day.
These boys are darling, and so are mom dad, it was such a joy to spend the morning with them.

Catching Up

Wow ok so I know I'm way behind, I got a little side tracked by life, but I'm back onto my blog, updating my website, and just getting all around caught up.  Look for a blast of new posts, I'm back on my game!

New Blog

I'm starting a new blog again, and I hope this will be the last time.  I'm guessing blogs are like anything else.. sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs until you find something you really like.  

I wanted to start this blog out with something that is very near and dear to my heart, my girls.  We are on vacation in the north woods of Wisconsin, where despite the ticks that are freaking me out, we are having a great time.  The kids are having fun with their cousins and I think they've played harder here in two days than they've played in the last year!  It's really great to see them be free, be kids, and having the summer memories that will last them forever.  

Here's to the start of an amazing summer!
